The Hidalgo 42+8 from Vaude is a very spacious trekking backpack for kids that is ideal for multi-day hikes or school camps. As with adult models, the back length can be infinitely adjusted using the Tergolight back system. The hip belt is wide, well padded and has a practical zip pocket. In addition to the main compartment, there is a detachable bottom compartment, two side bags and an adjustable top compartment. This is particularly practical if a mat or warm jackets need to be tucked in between. The kids can attach ice axes, poles or a self-carved bow and arrow to various loops.
