Transa second-hand is a purely online platform where outdoor and travel enthusiasts can resell their equipment and clothing directly to others. All the products have a fixed price, so there is no auction and the products can be mailed or handed over in person

In principle, you can resell anything you’d be able to buy from Transa, but you can also sell products you didn’t buy from us in the first place. Note that the platform can be used for any items linked to the outdoors and travel. If your product matches one of the categories provided, it’s a match for our platform, too.

However, personal safety equipment is specifically excluded – this includes climbing ropes and helmets.

Buyers make payment in advance and the money is deposited securely. As a seller, this gives you the peace of mind that you’ll get your money as soon as the buyer’s confirmed the item is ok. We work with Stripe, a payment services provider, to make the purchase process secure. That means your card information is collected securely in encrypted form.

You can find the Transa second-hand platform at transa.ch/en/second-hand. Second-hand products are not available in Transa branches because outdoor enthusiasts can resell their clothing or equipment on the purely online platform.

Yes, Transa also offers equipment on the online second-hand platform, such as clothing from photoshoots that has only been worn briefly or products from the shop that have defects. Clothing and equipment are repaired and refurbished for second-hand sale.
