Transa doesn’t have any direct influence over our suppliers’ manufacturing processes and supply chains. That leaves us all the more responsible for the brands and products we include in our range – and we put a great deal of thought into this.
It goes without saying that our procurement approach takes functionality and quality into account, but it also looks at sustainability-related aspects in the supply chain. They include the manufacturer’s social and environmental responsibility, elements regarding the circular economy, animal wellbeing and certificates and accreditations. We act in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
In order to better understand where the greatest risks to human rights lie in the supply chains of the brands we carry, we have also developed a process that helps us assess these risks and define purchasing guidelines that reduce the risk of workers’ rights being violated when the products are manufactured.
